KVPY Scholarship 2017
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship program. KVPY is the Department of Science and Technology of the Govt of India. It aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences, engineering, and medicine. The Department of Science and Technology started Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana in the year 1999. Now here we are providing the details of KVPY Scholarship 2017. It will be a two-step selection process i.e. written aptitude exam and interview. Candidates who have completed the under graduation courses in various fields are eligible for apply Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Scholarship. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Scholarship
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana invites the KVPY Online Application Form 2017-18for the Scholarship. The candidates who have the financial problem they can apply for this Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana Scholarship. In order to register candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs.1055/- (Rs.1000+KVAT @ 5.5%) for General and OBC category and Rs.528/- (Rs. 500+KVAT @ 5.5%) for SC/ST/PWD category candidates. Selection of the applicants will be based on their performance in Aptitude Test conducted by the Indian Institute of Science. The test will consist of 120 questions and candidates qualifying the test will be called for an interview based on which they will be awarded KVPY fellowship. The written test will be organized in both Hindi and English language at the various pre-arranged centers. Interested candidates please fill the KVPY Application Form online or offline modes on or before the closing dates.
KVPY Scholarship Eligibility
applicants who are pursuing or intend to pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences i.e B.Sc./B.S./B.Math./B.Stat./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Statistics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, Neurosciences, Geology, Marine Biology, Human Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Applied Physics, Materials Science, Geophysics or Environmental Science are eligible for KVPY fellowship.
KVPY fellowship 2016:
The candidates from SA/SX/SB stream are awarded a monthly fellowship of Rs. 5000/- for the duration of first 3 years of Basic Sciences courses (B.S., B.Sc., B.Math., B. Stat., Int. M.Sc., M.S.) besides an annual contingency amount of Rs. 20000/-.
The candidates from SA/SX/SB stream are awarded a monthly fellowship of Rs. 7000/- for the duration of final two years of Basic Sciences courses (Int. M.Sc., M.S., M. Math., M. Stat.) besides an annual contingency amount of Rs. 28000/-.
